I have had these 3 days. I think these shoes a great. Very comfy! I purchased a 10/10.5. I normally wear an 11 in a average shoe. It’s a good price. They look nice. It does NOT look like a plastic shoe.

Very nice wide fit, especially in the toe box, zero drop but with some mild toe spring, slightly more stack height than in a very minimalist “barefoot” shoe, seems fine for high or low volume foot. No arch support in the thin insole, which is removable. Doesn’t seem quite as flexible as a normal barefoot shoe when actually worn, although I can bend it by hand just fine. Barefoot shoe shoppers may appreciate that lack of arch support ( to let the foot strengthen and do the work ). I added a new insole with just a little bit more arch support. Will be used for walking and not running. Cannot speak to durability yet. Excellent price. Looks good imho. Overall quite good as a “barefoot transition shoe” or as a “not-quite barefoot shoe” if that’s the type of shoe you need.
Update after a month or two: after walking around in them a lot more, they seem a bit firm and less flexible than the popular barefoot brands. A little more stack height while not being flexible and not being cushioned. Not quite sure what use case that is best for. I’m using them just to change it up for my feet, but I don’t think I could wear these all day or for running.

I’ve been running for 17 years. Usually wear brooks. Noticed more toe pain so I switched to these for a bearfoot style and wide toe box. I’ve rain 60 miles in these and so far they are holding up great and have been really comfortable! Do it! They’re worth it!

I bought these shoes because another well known top tier zero drop wide toe box shoe decided to abandon their core customer group by limiting their wide toe box options. A friend of a friend word of mouth led me to Whitin. I have been wearing these shoes for just over a month and the only negative I have is that the tongue in the left shoe does not stay aligned properly. I have had this issue with other shoes in the past as well, and it is just a matter of quality control/making sure the tongues are aligned when they stitch them in. BUT, for the money, I am very happy with the roomy toe box, cushion, and ability to wear them loose or tight when more support is desired. Based on my experience with these shoes, I have ordered a high top option from Whitin that will be suitable for wear with a uniform.

I’ve gotten tired of modern shoes that compress all my toes together, causing multiple problems with my feet. I thought I needed a wide shoe but that wasn’t the answer. While it may be wide somewhere, it still squashed my toes together. Then I found out that I needed what’s called a “Wide Toe Box” type shoe. I started shopping online because no local stores carried such a product. I was shocked at first to find shoes starting at $125 a pair and going as high as $300. Even though that’s out of my budget, I ordered a couple of pairs to try them out. Big disappointment as the shoes were too tight to get on my feet. I finally tried Amazon. I found the Whitin shoes brand. The price looked too good to be true, just around $40 a pair. I ordered a pair and was totally delighted. The shoe is very roomy at the toes with more than enough space. Yet the shoes don’t feel loose as if they would come off. It has just the right amount of cushion for me. I liked them so much, I immediately ordered another pair. I will be coming back to this brand in the future when I need more shoes. I’ve been wearing them everyday now for almost 2 weeks, and that includes a lot of walking throughout the day. The comfort is just as good at the end of the day as when i first put them on in the morning.

this is the 5th pair of whitins purchased in our house – we are obsessed! i bought these for my husband for his bday – he is a PT and on his feet all day. he loves the wide toe box and flexibility of the shoe. these are great for all day comfort, and great quality!!
**husband and i both agree that these run pretty true to size!**

I needed to replace a pair of 0 drop shoes I wear for hiking, walking, and some occasional running. These were affordably-priced but don’t feel cheap. The design, materials, and appearance were comparable to more expensive brands. The wide toe box and 0 drop (between heel and toe) are perfect—I wouldn’t change a thing.
I hope other buyers have a similarly positive experience when wearing these shoes!

They fit well and feel good definitely worth the money considering how cheap they are
