Karen Marie Shelton –
I ordered the NORTIV 8 brand Men’s Running/Walking Shoes and give these shoes the highest rating. I am very picky about shoes as I have very sensitive feet. Having running shoes with the needed support is incredibly important in my shoe selection – and these rank among the best.
The shoes look modern, stylish and well made. When you put them on, you can immediately feel the support – especially in the center of the foot where it’s needed for running. I have super support Skechers that I love for the support – and the Nortiv 8 brand is even better….and much lower in price.
I have feet on the wide side and these fit perfectly in length and width. There is nothing worse than shoes that are too narrow and these shoes feels tailor made to my feet. These shoes are AAA, 5 Star, top grade and comparable to any top brand running shoe. This brand will be running shoes going forward.

The shoes, which I ordered in grey, arrived very quickly and were carefully packaged.
I was worried about the size, but they fit perfectly. They are true to size.
The shoes are very nice-looking, and there is lots of padding around the edges and on the sole, which provides cushioned support and energy exchange.
You can wear them for walking or any type of athletic activity. But they are very nice and dressy, so you could also wear them for a dressy casual event.
The all-black may be even dressier, but I wanted the gray because I liked the look.
It has an elevated drop off the front and back of the shoe, which provides a nice grip on different surfaces. The shoe’s structure also provides a nice rolling feel.
They have a deep cup and a breathable top. It has a lycra heel counter.
The shoe has a 3M reflective strip, which is a good protection when wearing the shoes at dusk or night. It provides an extra layer of safety.
The shoe’s soles are made of EVA rubber, and the top is made of breathable knit.
These are lace-up shoes. The extra padding gave me extra height, but the shoes were very comfortable, fit well, and offered extra support. I am very impressed.
I give them 5+ stars. I am delighted and highly recommend these shoes. I had zero complaints.

This shoe has a lot of soul! And sole!! Seriously, it’s thick! Lots of cushion here and you might gain an inch in height. They are nice looking shoes but there is a pretty prominent foam green trim that Wasn’t as prominent in the photos and it’s a bit much for me but others might really like that so be aware of that. Zoom in close and know it’s a bit brighter than in the photos. Overall it’s a nice pair of shoes that look good and feel good.

So, I have worn some similar 4 letter shoes and when I saw these, I thought they couldn’t be as good. But I was wrong! These shoes are really great. Super comfortable and supportive, laterally. The colors are great in the Blue and white scheme. There is reflective material, though I don’t jog late or early, that much. The overall feel is excellent with great lateral support and a cushy, comfortable sole. I felt like every step had excellent cushioning. The roll off on the front of the shoe just springs you forward like many running shoes of this caliber. I could see some very small imperfections in the area where the upper material meets the sole, a bit of glue here are there. But overall, AN EXCELLENT shoe!
I highly recommend these. I will update this review after I’ve worn them a while to see how they hold up to some heavy walking and stop and start movement.

All shoes are pretty similar. They have soles. They have openings to insert feet. The more sporty kind of shoes have laces. Every shoe manufacturer is just building a different (not necessarily better) mousetrap. Certain features of some shoes, like sole geometry, are patented. Some designs are not patented. So when it comes to ripping off intellectual property rights held by shoe manufacturers, maybe there’s a little bit of a gray area and we’re all supposed to just forget about it. I mention this because these shoes look really, really similar to Hoka Bondi 8 shoes. They feel really similar, too. I can’t help but think that the design intent was to make these shoes as similar to Hokas as possible. I have purchased many pairs of Hokas over the years at about $150 per pair. These Nortiv 8 shoes are quite the deal considering they cost one-third of that price.
One difference between these and Bondi 8 are that these have five main shoelace eyelets plus an extra one for six total. The Bondi 8 has the more standard six main eyelets plus an extra one. I usually prefer six or more main eyelets to help distribute the pressure created by taught shoelaces. I have a pair of Asics that has five main eyelets and I despise those Asics because of the pressure points caused by the tightened laces over a smaller area. I have other Asics that have six eyelets that are super comfortable because the pressure from laces is spread out more. This design specification may be important to you. I can say that on these Nortiv 8 I don’t get the same (bad) feeling of a pressure point on top of my feet that I get with those five-eyelet Asics.
The tread pattern on the sole is good for general purpose walking on relatively even surfaces. This is far from a trail shoe and will not perform as well on loose and/or uneven ground. It’s also a pretty tall shoe which isn’t good for trail walking or trail running. (You don’t want to wear high heels on a trail, right?) These will be ideal for pretty much any man-made surface: sidewalks, streets, shopping mall floors, amusement park paths, school floors, gym floors, running/walking tracks, etc.
