These are somewhat different from a pair I bought about 14 years ago, and wore out. But they were similar enough when I viewed them online, to take the plunge. They are (for me) the right combination of dress and casual. As I get older, some dress shoes just don’t loosen up (or break in), but these felt good the first time out. Since so many shoes are made with non-replaceable soles, I’m counting on the durability of my previous pair, and the Clark’s reputation, to give me good service for several years.

The shoes received have quite different color from advertisement. They are not bright and shiny but dull and common.

They advertise these as super comfortable but they are just regular comfortable. They aren’t uncomfortable but they aren’t super soft either. They look nice for what I need them for and they have held up very well through fairly rigorous use.

First I tried a pair of Rockport walking shoes in a wide size to accommodate my big feet. The leather uppers were far too small and tight fitting. So, then I tried these Clarks in the same size and found all the room that was missing in the Rocks. These also have a nice toe box that doesn’t crowd your toes. In fact nothing is crowded in these Clarks. A nice gift to my feet! Seems well made too.

They are obviously well made with a high quality design to them. I found these comfortable to wear. I walked with them 45 minutes back to back days without major concerns. The inside lip of these were a little firm and rubbed on a sport of both my feet making a little blister. So they will take a week or two to “work them in”.
