It’s a little bit big, and the weight is just right. It’s not too light or too heavy. I recently bought an automated opener that uses batteries and I regret it very much. It’s my first time using it and it’s broken. It’s a little annoying, but I think analogue is better. But I’m really curious why American canned goods don’t use a one-touch open lid. If you use a one-touch open lid, you don’t need any tools to open the lid at all. I’m not the only one who worries about iron foreign substances coming out when you open the lid with these tools going into the food, right? I hope the can grocery lids improve.

They say the third time is the charm and that is true for this can opener. I had purchased two other different can openers that did not work at all. The tolerances were too loose and the opener would climb off the rim. But this can opener has very tight tolerances and works like a dream. It’s a couple of bucks more than the other openers but worth every penny. It also has longer handles for more leverage and a large cranking handle. The bottle opener feature provides an additional benefit.

For something that is used very frequently, I would go thru 3 a year from cheap stores. For $12? It is easy, strong and well built. A lot better than getting electric opener out of cupboard, going thru cheap ones and hurting your hands trying to turn knob. I will buy another if this one ever goes haywire.
