I’ve been wanting to buy a hydrojug for some time so have been watching the Hydrojug website for deals. Shipping cost has always prevented me from doing the deal. I was very excited to see this on Amazon minus the shipping costs. Yay!!
Love the color, water stays cold all day, the top twists on and off so very easy to fill. Best part does not leak!!

I consider myself a water bottle connoisseur, having tried several different brands to see which features are the best. This one checks pretty much all the boxes but has a couple of drawbacks.
Pros:
-Cup holder friendly
-Rubberized bottom (quiet to set down)
-Easy to flip down straw makes it pretty much spill-proof with one quick touch vs. others where you have to work harder to close the straw
-Such a cute style/print
-Keeps water cold well
-Rubberized edge of lid makes it easy to open
-Clear lid so you can see how full it is
Cons:
-Straw area is hard to clean thoroughly. Haven’t seen it happen yet in mine, but I fear it could get gunky in there
-The main portion of the straw that is actually inside the cup can come apart from the lid when you’re screwing the lid off/on. Then you have to go fishing in your cup for the straw to reattach
Basically, if it’s important to you to be able to close your straw off, this is a really good option. She’s stylish and functional. Just keep the lid and straw clean!

I’ve never been the type to carry a water bottle everywhere, but I also know I don’t drink enough water daily. The HydroJug caught my attention with its leak-proof design—I needed something I could toss in the car without worrying about spills. This bottle is perfect! I got the 40oz in green, and it’s cute, large, keeps my water cold, and doesn’t leak. Couldn’t ask for more!

First, let me say that I have a tumbler problem and should probably seek help. I have 3 Stanleys, 2 Simple Modern, a 46 oz Coldest Limitless, and a 50 ounce no name one I got here on Amazon… and now 2 of these HydroJugs with 2 more on the way as gifts. I love all the cups mentioned above, but the only one that was truly leakproof was the Coldest brand, which has a lid like a water bottle instead of a flat tumbler lid. I have had Hydrojug water bottles in the past and was impressed with their quality, so I was super excited when I saw this new design and hoped it would be my holy grail tumbler… so far so good! I first bought Navy one here on Amazon almost a month ago, because it was the only color available and I wanted to try it before I decided to order several for gifts from their site… the fact that it is truly leakproof is so awesome and the round straw is way more comfortable to drink from than the flat kind that flip up.
As soon as my husband saw the navy one he asked if he could have one… he had been using a Stanley and loved it, except for the fact that it would spill if knocked over and he tends to be clumsy. The company was running a Black Friday sale and so I ordered myself a neon pink one and told him he could have the navy one when my pink one came… he’s been using it for 2 weeks now and loves it. I was so impressed with this cup that I bought 2 more from their site as gifts. I hope Amazon gets more colors in stock.

Thermal properties:
As this is a straw only style tumbler with no option to sip from the lid, it’s only meant for cold beverages. It keeps ice as long or longer than the Stanley and the Simple Modern, as long as you start with mostly ice and less water, just like any other thermal vessel. Obviously if you have the straw flipped up it will be less insulating. The video on my review was taken to show my best friend how much ice was left after 24 h as well as illustrate that it’s really leakproof.
Durability:
One person has noted that they broke their straw lid, but that can happen with any flip up mouthpiece if you drop something. The lid itself is rimmed in silicone and the low profile of it protects it from damage. As far as the paint, it’s high quality powder coat with a logo that is subtle. I was surprised to see the post that shows the powder coat peeling because that has not been our experience with either of the colors we have. I encourage them to contact the manufacturer for a replacement.
Design:
1. The color match on all components is perfect, unlike some other brands.
2. The handle is comfortable and the cup is well balanced.
3. The dual threaded lid is MUCH easier to use than the Stanley one and the lid itself is crystal clear and low profile, so you can fill the cup up closer to the top than you can with any other brand without the aggravation of the lid displacing some of your water and making a mess.
4. It really IS leakproof, as my little video demonstrates.
5. Although I didn’t even realize it when I ordered, there a rubber bottom (also perfectly color matched, I might add) so it’s really grippy and stable on flat surfaces.
All in all, it’s currently the most impressive of my embarrassingly large collection based solely on performance.

I recently picked up the HydroJug Traveler – Modern 40 oz Tumbler with Handle & Simple Flip Straw, and it’s been a game-changer! Ok so I have had a Stanley for years and figured it was time to try out the HYDROJUG
PROS:
I love that it doesn’t leak when it gets tipped over or anything, way rad. The lid is easier to get on and you know it’s 100% secure. My child loves to get it and I don’t have to worry about it spilling!
CONS:
Durability- I dropped it once, it fell out of my door holder onto a parking lot and I was shocked at how much it got scuffed up! I had just purchased it and one drop and it looks like I’ve been beating it up. I’ve dropped my Stanley TONS of times and never got scuffs so prominent. Must have a poor finishing job on it or something.
It doesn’t seem to keep ice as long as my Stanley. I did a test, I filled up both my Stanley and my Hydrojug full of ice and water. By the next day, Hydrojug had ZERO Ice and Stanley still had a little over 1/3 left of ice. So, thats kind of wild.
So, it’s hard to say if one is better than the other – hydrojug has it’s pros, but it has some cons, too. Or maybe I just got one that is less durable than the rest. Who knows!

Great design! My commute is long and I’ve been hunting for a water bottle that will fit in my cup holder, not leak and keep it cold. This meets all of those criteria! Excellent product and affordable. I drive a RAV4 hybrid for reference. Fits in cupholders & work bag.

Awesome water bottle. Fits in cup holder. Keeps things cold and importantly doesn’t leak, as long as the straw is bent down. I can throw it in my bag and feel comfortable it won’t spill. Bonus is that my 19 month old loves to drink from it too since the straw is super easy to use. Cute colors and the handle is very practical.
