Was gone for a month at the beginning of summer and when I came back the pool was cloudy green full of mustard algae. Back washed and cleared filter, added chlorine tabs, brushed and vacuumed..,still not cloudy. Saw this and thought “why not?”. Bought two gallons, used one, saved the other just in case. Never had to use it…yet. The pool is clear…product worked great, totally worth it!

I do not write reviews often, but I am just so blown away that I had to come here to write a review! I thought I would give this stuff a try after finding mustard algae in my above ground pool. I cleaned my filter, Shocked my pool, Added a gallon of this at dark (Which really was overkill because I was only supposed to use half a gallon) . Then when I got up in the morning I noticed small traces of the algae not nearly as bad before and I shocked again. Later in the day it was completely gone. Not a trace. I was waiting to write a review because I have heard that it’ll disappear and come back, but I have not seen a trace in a couple of days. If you do it the correct way it will work! I am so happy with the results! I’ve spent so much on shock the past couple weeks thought I had solved the problem, but it would just come back because I did not realize it was mustard algae (new pool owner; we had one as kids but my mom did everything lol) so this is a relief to have a clean pool to enjoy for a few more weeks until the cold front starts!

It worked great. I have a 12 x 3’ pool. I used almost the whole bottle. It was very green filter and it was blue with one night.

I purchased this hoping it would address my pool algae but it didn’t, but I still recommend this product. My issue was cleared up by Yellow Out, however this product did make the pool sparkle.
