It never mentioned that these were men’s sandals, so they were way too big and wide. If you are looking for ladies , these are not them!

These sandals were purchased for my husband’s birthday. They fit him perfectly. They have the soft footbed but were very reasonably priced. I comparison shopped all over the internet for this pair.
He is very happy with these sandals, and he says that his back pain is much less when he wears these all day around the house. He can wear them all winter with warm socks, as they are adjustable. He was finally able to throw away his worn out look-alikes. The color is just as presented. This product is very well constructed and will last for years.

I’ve been a loyal Birkenstock owner for years. As a kid growing up in Portland, Ore., Birkenstocks were the only way to go!
This is my third pair of Arizona soft-footbed sandals… it’s not so much that they wear out as that, living in warm, humid Florida, I find they get funky and grimy over time, and need to be resurfaced or retired. For the soft-footbed pairs, resurfacing is almost as expensive as a new pair, so I just buy new.
If you’ve never owned a pair of Birkenstocks: they feel great as soon as you put them on and the cork begins to conform to your feet within a matter of days. Within a week or two, you won’t want to wear anything else. The toe bar helps keep your toes in position, and the cup for your arch is comfortable even for someone almost completely flat-footed like me. They’ll slip around on your foot a hair while you’re walking, but if you find that it’s more than a little bit, you may want to get a narrower pair.
If you are wondering about the soft footbed vs. the regular footbed: I found that the soft-footbed are, obviously, more comfortable. They’re better suited to wearing barefoot, where the classic footbed may be for Oregonians and Germans who like to wear them with socks. 🙂 On the other hand, the soft footbed gets funky and needs to be cleaned a lot sooner.
My only complaint about the Arizonas is that the straps over my right foot are a little too loose, and can’t be made any tighter. I take them to the cobbler and have him punch a new, higher hole in the leather.
These are wonderful sandals. I wouldn’t buy anything else.

Sometimes a good deal isn’t. But I like the shoes. I bought these for a good price, but there probably was a reason. They did not come in a box, simply loose in an Amazon shipping bag. The label on the shoes said, “New in Box.” Ironic. The left shoe fit much looser than the right. I purchased a hole punch from Amazon to tighten it up. $$ When I was making the adjustment to the shoe, I compared the straps to the other shoe. It was 1/4” longer. Explains the difference. The labeling on the shoes is the same. It must be a factory mistake. Judging by the missing box and the good price, I would say someone else returned them. I probably should have to, but I have been really wanting a pair of Birkenstock sandals. Wish me luck. I hope they become my favorite sandals and I forget about the rough start.

So first off I feel like a review without a pic seems so fake and I felt like these Birks deserved to have a review written. I did a fake spot review on these and they did not rate very well at all. I took a chance and ordered them because I had been looking for the taupe color in my size for a long time. These are my third pair of Birks and if they had been my first pair I probably wouldn’t even own the other two. I always thought my Birkenstocks were so comfortable but they seem so stiff and hard now that I’ve worn these. I’m very much a shoe addict and these are amazing. I never want to take them off! I was worried that some pics showed them in a darker color but these are lighter just like I wanted. Also some of the reviews said they didn’t think they were authentic Birkenstocks but I have no reason to believe they’re not and honestly I hate to say it but if they are knock offs then I’d prefer them to actual Birks now. If you’re on the fence I say take a chance on these shoes!

They’re awesome shoes & last forever. I wear them instead of slippers when I’m home, and I have several pairs to wear out and about.

I usually wear a size 9-9.5 shoe but had to go one size down to a 8-8.5. Once I returned them for a smaller size I was crazy about them. So comfortable and cute. I love them

I’ve been wearing this model for 30 years. They were recommended by a naturopath as a possible solution to my back problems. I’ve tried several different orthotics before I bought some Burks.
I was in Cannon Beach, OR. I had been walking around; but I was in quite a bit of pain. I noticed a shop advertising Birkenstock shoes. I got a pair of Arizonas. Within an hour…I was almost pain free. Over the years I have tried several of their other models. They used to make a a work boot that I loved back when my job required that I stand all day. They don’t make that model anymore; but I recently bought a different work boot that is very comfortable and great for long walks. I’ve also got a pair of dress shoes that have lasted for 20 years. I only wear them 2 or 3 days a week, and I don’t walk very much in them; but that’s still a remarkable amount of service for the money. My Arizonas usually last a 2 to 3 years. But I pretty much live in them. And yes…I wear socks with them. Let the “fashion police” be $<?€ed. I’m about comfort…not impressing vanity. Enjoy your Birks!
