First time with this style, but I feel good about them. And Birkenstock mean quality and they last and last.

I size a full size down in all Birkenstock sandals- usually a 7 1/2, I wear a 37. So comfortable- I can walk all day in these. Well worth the price.

You know that feeling you get when you try something on and know instantly that it’s perfect? I got that with these sandals. When I finally decided to spring for a pair of Birks after months of agonizing over it, I got off to a rocky start. I bought and returned 2 other pairs before these beauties arrived to save the day. First, maybe it would help to know that I’m a female in my mid 30’s, I wear a true size 8.5, have very high arches and feet perhaps slightly wider than average, at least in the toe box region. In fact – true confession – I had a bunion removed a few years ago from years of wearing shoes that were too narrow for my feet. Back to Birkenstock shopping. I wanted something super comfortable and casual, but also cute (for a Birkenstock), and in a color and style that would go with as many of my clothes as possible. The first pair I ordered were the classic Arizona style, iron oiled leather in a 38N. The fit was pretty good, but the color was way off from the picture. They were brown, not even close to grey. Not only that, but after trying them on started to feel like they were a little too chunky and masculine looking for what I wanted (at least on me), so I sent them back and ordered a pair of the Arizona sport style. I was hoping that the white buckles and accents would make them a little cuter and more feminine looking than just the classic Arizona. Indeed they were cuter, but the color choices in that style are so limited and I instantly knew that they were too bright and wouldn’t go with as much clothes-wise, plus all those cute white accents drew far more attention to my feet than I wanted. Also, I started to think the M might be even more comfortable for my feet than the N size, especially in the heel. When I ordered this style in plain black and 38M I literally crossed my fingers when I clicked the purchase button. I am SO HAPPY now that I have these! They are the PERFECT fit (glad I went with the M over the N, though the difference is subtle)! I was worried that the piece in between the toes would chaff and rub but it doesn’t at all. The strap width is just right, not too thick, not too thin. They are classy and cute and definitely more feminine and a little less unisex hippy than the Arizona style, plus they were cheaper! I really am in love with these sandals and know that we’ll be happy together for a very long time. (Don’t mind the shabby state of my toenails in these pics, it’s the end of winter here and I haven’t gotten a real pedi yet).
UPDATE: Don’t fret if the piece of sole that sticks up under the big toe feels a little bit “much” at first. People have commented that it is too high and feels uncomfortable. I never thought it was uncomfortable but I did certainly notice it at first. Within a few weeks I didn’t notice it at all! They really do conform to your feet!

I bought these sandals knowing they were “Used”, but in good condition. I was skeptical, but thought I’d give them a chance as I love this style of Birkenstock sandals – and they were my size! The price was great, and they are truly brand-new sandals. The packaging was not original, and I believe that was the only issue. The soles were not dirty or scuffed at all! I would definitely by “used” (but listed as “good condition”) again from Amazon after this great experience! I have to say – Amazon is really honest about giving descriptions on “used” items and their condition. Loving these sandals as much as my last pair, especially at the great discounted price.
As far as the sandals go, if you’re searching for a sandal that is comfortable for a lot of walking, and one that provides great arch support, look no further!

I’ve been wearing Birkenstocks since I was in high school back in the early ‘90s, though typically only the Milano style. My daughter received a pair of Mayari sandals recently and insisted I try them on, as we both struggle with painful bunions that progressively worsen over time. Trying them on provided immediate relief to my big toe and surrounding area, as it worked as well as a bunion splint or similar item, providing great support in a way that a traditional flip-flop does not – and even better than most products I’ve bought made specifically for this purpose. I immediately purchased a pair for myself, excited to finally wear a shoe that not only did not cause pain to wear, but actually felt BETTER for the bunions than wearing no shoes at all! Well, oddly enough to my surprise, when I put them on, I found them EXTREMELY difficult to even place on my feet properly as far as inserting my big toe into the spot made specifically for it – never have I had this kind of difficulty with a shoe in my entire life. Once I finally succeeded, I figured that I simply needed to wear them in well, as I always had to do with all of my Birkenstocks I’ve owned in the past, to kind of “mold” my feet into their soles and stretch out the straps a bit before settling on a hole to permanently set the buckles. I suffered a decent amount of pain and discomfort while attempting to do this, but kept pushing on in anticipation of it getting better, as they always did before; however, I noticed that one of the shoes were significantly more difficult to insert my toe in it’s place in the shoe than the other, and also caused a good deal more pain to my feet than the other. I’ve not experienced this sort of trouble in any show I’ve ever worn before, particularly to this great degree, so I can only blame this on the shoe. Needless to say I’m so disappointed, especially since I’ve never had a single complaint whatsoever about all of the Birkenstocks I’ve worn over many years, and feel as though I’ve thrown my money away. I’ve no idea if they will ever wear in enough to provide me comfort, and unsure if I can endure the pain in the meantime for only a POSSIBILITY of it improving. 😔
